If you reside in a rural area of Alaska…

AND YOU ARE NOT WITHIN A REASONABLE DRIVING DISTANCE TO ANCHORAGE, YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO TRAVEL TO ANCHORAGE for your Bankruptcy case.

Our law office represents clients throughout the State of Alaska. All of the work to prepare a bankruptcy petition can be done easily via telephone calls (or Skype), email and regular mail.

Attorneys file the cases electronically through the Federal Court Pacer system. The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Alaska is based in Anchorage. Although there are satellite offices in Fairbanks and Juneau, the vast majority of the Meetings of Creditors and Bankruptcy Court hearings are held at the court in Anchorage.

A Debtor/Petitioner who does not live within driving distance of Anchorage (or has significant health issues which prevents them from travelling) may appear at their Rule 341 meeting and any hearings BY TELEPHONE if it is arranged ahead of time.
